New! Artemis Literary Sources

Working on literary criticism?  Your research tasks just became easier.  We've just added Artemis Literary Sources, which includes all the literary criticism previously available via the Literature Resource Center database, all the content of the print literary criticism books housed in our reference collection, and much more. While the investment is substantial, we know that students and faculty prefer online content and the number of online sections of English courses is increasing.  Try Artemis today through the English & Literature subject guide or from our main web page, choosing the Articles, Databases & More tab, and choosing Databases A-Z. We think you will be pleased.

Is My Textbook Available in the Library?

The Library has many of the books required for your classes. But we do not, as a rule, acquire textbooks. Generally, you will need to buy your texbooks at the bookstore on West Campus.  Confused? The textbook market is vast, and textbooks are expensive and authors and editors update them constantly. We generally have classics in a field, which may indeed be your textbook. Also, professors often assign books that are not textbooks. Those, too, we often have.
So, there is only one way to know for sure -- contact us or search the library catalog . We may have an edition on reserve or you may be able to request a copy from one of the other libraries in the area. Reference Services can help you find the books you need.
