This is the last week for Food for Fines. For every nonperishable, unexpired snack or meal item you bring in will get you $1 off your existing library fines, up to $10.

Food for Fines
It’s November. Are you anticipating that huge Thanksgiving feast?
Remember that not everyone will have that option. Feeding America reported that
in 2013, nearly one in ten Minnesotans was food insecure, meaning that they lacked
enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members.
From November 2 – 23, the Century College Library will be accepting food pantry donations as payment for fines. Donated items will go to Century College Food Pantry. The Pantry is looking for nonperishable snacks or light meals.
Each donated item will be worth $1 off your existing library fines, up to $10. This is a great way to clear any library fines before registering for the spring semester while helping out fellow students. Bring items to the circulation desk and remember to bring your student ID!

Note:
Food items must be unopened, undamaged, and unexpired.
Food cannot be used to pay previously paid fines.
All current students are eligible to use the Food Pantry and can visit the Food Pantry up to twice per month. The only requirement is either a student ID card or student ID number.
